Larry Finney is a partner of the firm Greene, Finney & Horton. Mr.Finney graduated from the University of Illinios in 1982 and has been providing auditing and consulting services to governments for over 12 years. Since co-founding the firm in 1996, Larry has provided audit and consulting services to numerous governments.

Larry is extremely knowledgeable in GASB No. 34 theory and implementation and has assisted the South Carolina Department of Education  in implementing GASB No. 34.

Larry has completed the Government and Not-for-Profit Certification in Education Achievement (GNPCEA), a 96 hour program sponsored by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).  The program includes four 16 hour classes devoted to advanced governmental accounting, auditing and reporting, including current issues and developments. Larry uses almost all of his continuing professional education requirements to attend or speak at government conferences and seminars. Larry  has also spoken at numerous government conferences such as SCASBO, GFOA, SCSBA and MASC on topics ranging from leadership development to government accounting and auditing updates, GASB No. 34 and organizational risk assessments. 

Larry teaches   various government accounting and auditing courses for GFOA and MASC. Finally, Larry has assisted governments in evaluating and implementing financial software systems.
