Pepper Horton is a partner of the firm Greene, Finney & Horton LLP. Pepper received his Masters of Professional Accountancy (Taxation Emphasis) from Clemson University in 1991 and his B.S. in Accounting from Clemson University in 1989. Pepper manages the firm's taxation and computer consulting practices. Pepper merged his business, Tax Technology LLC with Greene & Finney, PA in January 2000 to form Greene, Finney & Horton LLP.

Pepper worked as an auditor and as a tax consultant for Ernst & Young LLP for nine years. While there, he authored software to allocate depreciation under §704(c) for large real estate businesses with contributed property as well as several other audit and tax applications. Since departing Ernst & Young to pursue his own practice, Pepper has re-written and expanded this software to not only allocate the depreciation but also generate the partner's Form K-1, maintain a database that tracks the built-in gain and the related burnoff and provide web-based reporting. This software is current being used to service Highwoods Properties and Schaedle Worthington Hyde Properties.
